Chef Michael Mina, is the Chef, Founder, and Executive Chairman of MINA Group, traces his epicurean journey from Cairo, Egypt, to becoming a culinary luminary. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Mina honed his skills at Aureole in New York City. His early collaboration with Chef George Morrone led to the opening of AQUA in 1991, marking the beginning of a stellar career. Awards such as Rising Star Chef of the Year (1997) and Best Chef: California (2002) by the James Beard Foundation highlight Chef Mina’s excellence. His visionary leadership birthed MINA Group, boasting over 30 restaurants worldwide, and his accolades include a Michelin star at MICHAEL MINA (2012 – 2018) and induction into the James Beard Foundation’s “Who’s Who of Food & Beverage” (2013). Chef Mina’s culinary legacy extends to national media features, judge roles on acclaimed shows, and cooking for U.S. presidents.
Adam Sobel, Chef/Partner at MINA Group, is at the forefront of concept development and menu creation, bringing his culinary prowess to the acclaimed Sorelle in Charleston, SC. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Sobel has earned global recognition working alongside top chefs. He is not only a culinary maestro but also a familiar face on Food Network shows like Tournament of Champions, Guys Grocery Games, and Chopped, showcasing his skills both as a competitor and judge.
