Chef Jaime Pesaque
Jaime Pesaque was born and raised in Peru, with training in Europe and apprenticed at Michelin Star Restaurants throughout Italy and Spain, including El Celler de Can Roca. Following his training he came back to Peru, where he opened his flagship restaurant, Mayta, a contemporary Peruvian cuisine restaurant and pisco bar in Lima, Peru, where the traceability of native products is always eagerly sought, thus combining culinary techniques contemporary with local products to create sophisticated and modern dishes. Mayta was ranked as #47 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list.
